Thanks mom and dad for taking me to that cool movie that had a cute little monkey in it. Who knew I would learn how to flip people off from a monkey? And who knew I would learn a new word "piss", and then add it to my playground vocabulary? No, I don't remember my very first movie, or even very much about my first PG movie, but I do remember what Dial soap tastes like. Fiddler on the Roof! On a big screen (at least 4 times as large as the typical multiplex screen today) in Monroe Michigan. I still remember my sister and I joking that the title was "Piddler on the Roof" My favorite scene is the tavern dancing with the Jews and the Russian's TO LIFE! TO LIFE, L'CHIAM. The most influential movies on me growing up were: Gone With the Wind, Dr.Zhivago, and Sound of Music, which is interesting as I look back now because they all had a war theme. What a great blog, I love reading it!

On a Titanic note: Doug spent a Summer in Africa with World Service Corps and his partner (from Kenya) kept asking to watch "Titantic II". When Doug asked him what the "II" part was all about he said, "The sequel is so much better than the first one"...then he pulled out the second VHS tape from the movie box. I enjoyed both Titanics, part I and part II. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8618499524438478683.post-67434022211267867082011-01-31T19:19:20.518-06:002011-01-31T19:19:20.518-06:00I would have to say it's a toss up between Rud...I would have to say it's a toss up between Rudy and The Shawshank Redemption for my all time favorite movie.

My least favorite is anything with Steven Seagal in it.

My favorite movie of 2010 was Secretariat :)Her Head in the Cloudshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17055105594293495102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8618499524438478683.post-29117318697326580882011-01-31T15:15:35.960-06:002011-01-31T15:15:35.960-06:00I went to Ever After about at least five times in ...I went to Ever After about at least five times in the theater so it might qualify as my favorite but I really love the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice.
