Wow! I can't believe we actually went two whole years of seeing a movie a week. (And some!) How lucky are we to be able to pull that off!? I have to say, we have pretty great husbands who were willing to put up with our schedule juggling to make it work.
So what's in store for us in 2013? Well, I'm not sure we're going to be quite so adamant about getting to a movie every week. We love it. Don't get us wrong but it can be a little "inconvenient" at times to try to squeeze it in with kids, schedules and life. If only it could be a full time paying job.
For now, we're going to go to movies when we like (and can) but probably not every week. My guess is that we'll still go to more movies than the average person. If not, we might go through withdrawals. Seriously. We're ten days into the new year and I haven't gone to a movie yet. I'm getting a little fidgety. And we're still planning on reporting back here for reviews so stay tuned!
So to start the new year off right we thought we might as well have a little giveaway. Free movie tickets anyone? If we're not going to a movie someone else better be!
Here's what's up for grabs. Two AMC Gold Passes (basically each ticket is good for up to a $12 movie), an AMC small popcorn voucher and two AMC small pop vouchers. A nice little bundle.
To enter, just comment on this post with your favorite review we did so far or your favorite movie you saw in 2012. Or really just say anything you want. We like to know that people are actually reading this. :)
We'll announce the winner after our Best/Worse Movies in 2012 post.
Lawless and Ted were two of my faves this year. Didn't get to the movies near as much as I would have liked!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't see either of those! Will have to rent them soon!
DeleteI like reading all your reviews! Love the contrast between the two of you. My husband can't sit through a movie in the theatre most of the time so I read so I know which movies to stay away from when he finds something he wants to watch. (He loves movies and will watch just about anything, but then he'll fall asleep sometimes and I'll be stuck) LOL Keep it up! You are both, indeed, lucky!
ReplyDeleteSo glad we can help! But who falls asleep during a movie?!? Lol
DeleteI often read your reviews, fun to connect with you in that way. I loved the Hobbit and Life of Pi, got to see them in England.
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad you keep in touch too. Social media makes life so fun! Still need to see Life of Pi.
DeleteThe two of you are great writers. I have enjoyed reading your reviews. I don't get to many movies, but my favorite was probably the Hunger Games.
ReplyDeleteHunger Games was definitely a good one!
DeleteAwhhh! No more weekly reviews.... well maybe I can tag along again to a few this year. I liked hunger games best this year but really liked quite a few overall.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely want you to come to movies with us.
ReplyDeleteI liked reading your reviews and living vicariously through you since I saw exactly two movies in the theater this year and felt like I saw a lot! :)
ReplyDeleteHope they were two good ones! Wish you lived closer so we could take you with us to some.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite film this year was Beasts of the Southern Wild. It's a great film that creates a very interesting world/atmosphere that I've never seen before. Have you guys seen it?
ReplyDeleteNo we haven't. I'll have to check it out.
DeleteI just saw that playing somewhere and wondered what it was about. Will have to check it out.
DeleteLawless and Silver Linings Playbook were my two favorites in 2012!
ReplyDeleteSilver linings was a goodie!
